These terms govern your use of momofinance.co.uk. The heart of them: this is information, not advice, and Momo's liability for what you do with it is limited. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Who runs this site

momofinance.co.uk is operated by Haystack Rock Limited, trading as Momo Finance, a company registered in England and Wales under number 07572770, whose registered office is Wimbourne, London Road, Chalfont St. Giles, England, HP8 4NQ. It publishes general information about which UK financial products accept US persons resident in the UK, and the US tax rules that shape that.

Free, for your own use

The site is free to use for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. There is no account and nothing to pay.

It is not advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice, and nothing here is a personal recommendation. Momo is not a financial adviser or a tax adviser, and it is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Your circumstances are specific to you; confirm your own position with a suitably qualified cross-border specialist before you act on anything you read here.

The data can be out of date, or wrong

Every eligibility verdict carries its source and the date it was last checked. A verdict drawn from a credible source is published and then confirmed against the provider's own page; until then it is marked "not yet verified" beside the date it was last checked. Even a confirmed verdict can go out of date or be wrong, because acceptance policies and tax rules change without notice. Check the position with the provider before you apply. The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

What is published here is not an offer

Rates, fees and acceptance policies on this site are the provider's own published figures, read on the date shown beside them. They are not an offer, and they do not bind the provider. Each application is decided by the provider on its own criteria: credit and identity checks, residency and visa status, product availability, and an internal policy on US persons that can be stricter than the one it publishes. A provider recorded here as opening accounts for US citizens can still decline you, and the rate you are offered can differ from the rate shown.

Where a card or a loan carries a representative APR, the lender expects at least 51% of the people who take the product to get that rate or better, which leaves the rest paying more. Only the rate the provider quotes on your own application counts. Read its current terms before you apply.

Decisions are yours

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haystack Rock Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content. That includes any decision to apply, or not to apply, for any account, product or service, and any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or financial loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity, however it arises.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for anything else where the law does not permit exclusion. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the minimum the law allows. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

No link on this site is paid. Momo intends to earn affiliate fees in future from providers that accept US persons; how that will work, and what will be named before the first paid link goes live, is set out on How Momo makes money. The site links to external pages, including providers' own sites and government sources. Momo does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including the eligibility data, the verdicts and the explanations, is owned by Haystack Rock Limited or its licensors. You may read and share it for your own personal, non-commercial use, and cite it with a link. Republishing, scraping or commercial reuse of the content or the eligibility data without written permission is not allowed.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
