Sidekick has been checked for US citizens, but none of the verdicts below is verified yet. Treat them as leads.

If you already have an account with Sidekick, a second one there is usually the easier application, because Sidekick has already checked who you are. Each account below carries its verdict, the evidence behind it and the date it was checked.

US persons: nothing published about US persons, but the ISA shelf holds only two funds

The only provider in this group whose documents never mention America, setting a residence test alone. The catch is the shelf rather than the door, and it is the exact inverse of Sidekick's taxable account: the ISA offers two UCITS ETFs and nothing else, so an open wrapper still leaves a US person with only PFICs to buy. Its directly held index, the thing that made the taxable account interesting, is not available inside the ISA.

US persons: no published US bar, but execution and custody sit with a US firm

The most interesting product on this page for a US person, for a structural reason: its Custom Index holds the individual company shares that make up the index rather than units in a fund, so an S&P 500 style portfolio arrives as real US shares and never becomes a PFIC. Its client agreement also tests where you live rather than what passport you hold, with no US person clause anywhere. Two things to settle before you move money. Acceptance is read from that silence rather than from a policy. And execution and custody run through DriveWealth in the US, which for Stake, using the same custodian, meant SIPC cover rather than the FSCS, so ask which scheme protects you here.

Account names link to the provider's own site. momo has no active affiliate partnerships; if that changes it will be disclosed and will never change a verdict. Every institution, A to Z.

Confirm your own position with a cross-border specialist. Acceptance policies and tax rules change, and your facts may differ from the general case. Rates and terms here are the provider's published figures rather than an offer, and the provider decides each application on its own criteria. Use this as a map, not a ruling. Last checked .
